Code of Conduct of ARS Altmann AG

We have set out our values in a Code of Conduct.

For reasons of better readability, the masculine form of address is used in this document. This means that all genders are addressed equally.

Since our foundation in 1975, we have seen ourselves as a value-oriented family business that is aware of its responsibility towards employees, business partners, society and the environment. We conduct our business in accordance with legal regulations. We are committed to acting in accordance with the highest ethical standards at all times and to acting respectfully, honestly and with integrity towards business partners and colleagues. This is done in accordance with the principles of this Code of Conduct, which is intended to serve as a guideline for our daily work, as well as in accordance with the standards of DIN ISO 9001, 14001 and 50001.

The contents of the Code of Conduct described here apply to the Management Board, managers and employees of ARS Altmann AG and its national and international subsidiaries. Foreign subsidiaries may add country-specific guidelines, provided they conform to this Code of Conduct as a reference code.

The Code of Conduct is binding for the Management Board of ARS Altmann AG, managers and all employees. The Management Board and managers serve as role models and are responsible for acting in accordance with the principles of this Code of Conduct and communicating them to employees. In addition, they provide support in the event of ambiguities and questions regarding compliance with these rules of conduct and legal requirements in day-to-day work.

We respect the right of our employees to organize and campaign for their interests in employee representative bodies or trade unions. Furthermore, we always strive to maintain an open and trusting dialog.

We respect the right to appropriate remuneration and compliance with statutory working time regulations. We offer our employees fair working conditions that meet all legal requirements. Remuneration is at least at the legally stipulated level or higher. The applicable legal provisions of the minimum wage are complied with at all times.

Any form of exploitation or disregard for employee rights is illegal and will not be tolerated. We respect and protect human rights and reject all forms of child or forced labor and human trafficking.

Our employees are protected from physical, psychological, sexual and verbal harassment or assault.

In our work environment, all employees can feel free to report known or suspected misconduct or violations of this Code of Conduct without fear of retaliation. Each manager will investigate concerns or violations brought to his or her attention without prejudice and will assist the employee who has confidentially approached him or her.

We are convinced that diversity in our group of companies creates added value and enriches cooperation. We, our employees and business partners treat all people with respect and integrity. Discrimination on the basis of ethnic origin, gender, religion or ideology, disability, age, sexual orientation or political views is not tolerated. We live equal opportunities and are committed to open-minded, cooperative and tolerant cooperation.

We ensure safe and healthy working conditions for our employees through health and safety measures. By continuously developing and improving working conditions, we minimize risks that could lead to injuries or occupational health hazards for our employees, thereby increasing employee satisfaction at the same time.

Personal data of our employees and former employees, business partners and other data subjects are strictly confidential and are treated with the utmost care. When collecting, processing and using personal data (e.g. customer data, names, addresses, telephone numbers, date of birth, etc.), we always ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

The IT systems used in day-to-day business are protected by appropriate security measures to ensure the best possible protection of personal data and intellectual property at all times.

All employees are obliged to protect the IT systems available to them from internal and external misuse.

In addition, we comply with existing information, reporting and disclosure obligations towards supervisory authorities and data subjects.

Compliance with competition law regulations and the rejection of all forms of corruption, extortion, bribery and unfair competition is a fundamental principle of our corporate policy.

We carry out our activities at all times in accordance with the relevant legal system.

The management and employees of ARS Altmann AG and its subsidiaries will not demand any benefits for themselves or a third party or accept any consideration in return.

Both the provision and granting of unfair advantages is generally prohibited and will be sanctioned with labor law measures in the event of violation.

Benefits, gifts or invitations may be granted or accepted as long as they are within reasonable limits and do not violate internal or legal regulations.

Our personal relationships and private interests have no influence on our entrepreneurial decision-making in day-to-day business.

National and international tax and customs regulations are always complied with and any taxes and customs duties incurred are paid correctly.

Our business books and financial accounting are kept with the highest degree of accuracy, completeness and transparency. We comply with national and international accounting regulations and disclosure requirements and ensure that our records provide a reliable basis for the preparation of financial statements.

Company assets are used exclusively for operational purposes.

We protect our intellectual property and proprietary know-how.

Access to this information is strictly protected against unauthorized access and only granted for defined and legitimate purposes.

We consider partnership and a high degree of integrity to be an indispensable basis for sustainable and successful business relationships.

We see environmental protection and sustainability as an essential part of our social responsibility. We are therefore committed to constantly reducing our impact on the environment through the use of modern and efficient technologies. We pay attention to the responsible use of natural resources.

Compliance with applicable environmental protection laws is just as much a matter of course for us as the implementation of energy and resource-saving measures and practices in our day-to-day business.
