With 850 specialized car transporters, ARS Altmann AG coordinates over 1.5 million vehicle movements at regional level in Europe every year. 24/7 digital dispatching, trained drivers and trailers developed in collaboration with OEMs ensure seamless quality – from the factory to the last mile. In addition to conventional trucks, the fleet also includes modern e-trucks and an HVO100 pilot fleet, which noticeably reduces CO₂ emissions and gets your vehicles to their destination punctually, safely and sustainably.

Factory collection & distribution network

Vehicle fleet
Our vehicle fleets are managed by a comprehensive management team. We have a modern and efficient fleet of trucks with road trains and special trailers. In line with our WAY TO ZERO goal, the fleet is primarily used for regional distribution on the so-called last mile and helps, among other things, to integrate our service portfolio into the transport chain. This merger and the associated standardization and optimization of all processes on site enable us to operate economically and cost-effectively and ensure the satisfaction of our customers.
Thanks to nationwide fleet management and a clearly structured distribution network, we can guarantee standardized processes and thus ensure maximum flexibility, efficiency and transparency in all dispositions.
Fleet
We source our trucks from IVECO, Mercedes-Benz, MAN, Scania and Designwerk, and our trailers from the manufacturers Kässbohrer, Lohr and Rolfo. Our fleet is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and modern driving safety systems.
Thanks to our regularly maintained fleet of trucks, we meet the latest safety standards, prevent unplanned breakdowns and at the same time meet our high ecological standards.
In our internal driver training courses, our employees complete eco-training to reduce fuel consumption in addition to driving safety.
Sustainability
Sustainability on the road
ARS Altmann AG is pursuing a clearly defined “WAY TO ZERO” strategy to measurably reduce the carbon footprint of its truck fleet:
Electric pioneers since 2017
In the year 2017, the first 100% battery-electric car transporter rolled from our bases to our customers. By 2030, one in five local trains should be emission-free.
HVO100 pilot fleet
Sustainable, synthetically produced diesel fuel reduces CO₂ emissions by up to 90% – without any technical modifications. More and more short journeys are already being made using this climate-friendly fuel.
Solar energy for trucks & sites
Our solar carports feed charging points, workshop electricity and administration buildings. More than 6 gigawatt hours of energy were generated in 2024. This means that every kilowatt hour of renewable energy is used twice: for charging the e-fleet and for site operations.
Eco-routing & telematics
Innovative software and extensive experience help us to calculate the most energy-efficient route, bundle stops and avoid empty kilometers. Real-time data from telematics boxes show the fuel saved per journey.
ISO-certified energy and environmental management
With ISO 50001 and ISO 14001, we systematically monitor the use of resources, initiate improvements and create full transparency for customers.
Driver training courses
Regular training courses on anticipatory driving, load securing and e-truck handling reduce fuel consumption and increase safety.
Truck optimization
VFL Verwaltungs- & Leasing GmbH specializes in the proper management of our truck fleet. The requirements are clear: the fleet must be kept technically up to date, while at the same time achieving the best possible results in terms of quality and compliance with the load factor, as well as meeting all safety requirements.
