Automobile logistics as a service: reliable, safe, punctual
Rail
In total, we operate more than 4,000 modern rail wagons, making us Europe’s largest private car train fleet.
On average, 200 trains are in operation for us in our network every week.
Road
Our vehicle logistics company has up to 850 special trucks at its disposal – increasingly also electric trucks for quiet and emission-free transportation.
Automotive hub
Across Europe, our logistics capacity at the 25 ARS Altmann AG sites currently amounts to more than 5 million square meters.
Port terminal
Our port terminals in Italy, Ravenna and Civitavecchia, offer more than 500,000 square meters of storage space and are strategically located on the Adriatic and Tyrrhenian Seas respectively. They represent a new benchmark for integrated logistics solutions for the import/export of finished vehicles between Europe and Asia.
Delivery center
In our delivery center, we fulfill the wishes of dealers as well as remarketing and fleet customers. All thanks to our handover center and services such as Smart Repair, PDI, paint work and the implementation of special events on request. We are also the exclusive partner of Massey Ferguson in Germany.

Priority for rail
Shifting medium and long-haul logistics to rail as far as possible is an important component of our sustainable transport strategy. To this end, we are consistently expanding and modernizing our wagon fleet with double-decker wagons.
100 % electric truck
ARS Altmann AG is pursuing a consistent investment path in e-mobility. In 2025, new e-trucks from Mercedes-Benz and Designwerk were added, and in 2023 the world’s first fully electric standard Scania P 25 car transporter with a Kässbohrer body and trailer.
Photovoltaic systems
To protect against environmental influences, we have installed photovoltaic systems in the form of solar carports at various locations. At the same time, this enables us to produce environmentally friendly energy. We are currently continuously expanding our charging infrastructure.
Sustainable action
CO2 reduction and climate protection are fundamental goals for us. This means prioritizing rail transport for medium and long distances, expanding solar carports at our locations and a network for regional distribution with a mix of combustion engines, alternative fuels and electric trucks.
